Go Us!

2 weeks after CH Band's orientation programme, the CH Band committee board organised a training(mainly to teach juniors how to march) this morning. Although it was the first activity after the orientation program, the response wasn't bad.

After about 2.30 hours of learning marching skills, instruments' sectionals started. Each section had their sectionals at different places. At 12:00pm, all band members retreated. The leader board gave comments about the morning's activity and then dismissal.

To the juniors,
Please remember all the basic marching and music skills that you've learnt this morning, so that in the next band activity, you can learn more without re-learning the things that was taught this morning. Keep it up, Juniors!

Below are photos taken during sectionals, enjoy!

Clarinet Section
Flute Section

Trumpet Section
Baritone and Euphonium Sections
Trombone Section
Saxophone Section (they were divided into 2 groups due to the number of their members)
Saxophone Group 1
Saxophone Group 2
Horn Sections (divided into 2 groups too, seniors' and juniors') This is the Seniors' group.

Horn Juniors' group led by Eric Tan.
Tuba Section (the people behind are also tuba members)
Colour Guard Sections - Seniors' Group

Colour Guard Section - Juniors' group led by Tommy and ah Dang.

Percussion Section!~! Before learning drumming techniques, the juniors have to learn some theories first. (but it seemed that the boy who's looking at the camera didn't pay much attention..=P)
Percussion Cymbalists were practicing under the trees.
Ah Ben was practicing alone outside the school hall.

Finally, when the percussion juniors have finished learning theories, they began to learn basic drumming techniques.
Besides of sectionals, there were some band members who were caught doing something outside the boundaries.
