CH Band's Chinese New Year Celebration

CHMMB only had 2 activities during the Chinese New Year Holidays, that are CNY visitation together with the band members and performances! We rent a bus for a not very expensive price, and we went to many of our band members' houses. Many thanks to their parents who willing to open their houses for us, and for their enthusiastic services towards each of our band members.
our school Lion Dance Club went to our band president, Ryan Lo house when we visited his house

Gallant sacrificed himself to help us to take group photo. Thanks Gallant!

Besides, we were invited to our band senior, Jia Yii's grandparents anniversary lunch to perform a few pieces of songs. We were also invited to our band's vice president, Felicia Loh's house to perform, but I didn't take any picture there.

Enjoy your day, readers.
Happy Valentine's!

Welcome to CH Marching Band!

Our band organized our orientation on last Saturday, which is yesterday. Many new students have joined, that was a good beginning for us. The orientation committee board, who are the form 4s only had one week preparation for this orientation, so the entire programme did not run perfectly. Anyway, it is marvelous enough for them to do all these in a week time. Congratulation!

New students, we look forward onto you!

First Thai coaches camp 2011!

3 of our Thai coaches came and coached us for 2 days from the 29th of Jan til 30th(today). The attendance wasn't perfect as Chinese Near Year is around the corner and many members went back to their hometowns. However, we managed to 'survive' and something 'special' is going to happen this year!

On the second day of the camp(the last day), it has been raining for the whole afternoon. After the rain stops, most of our members swept our field together as shown below.
2 of the 3 white guys on the top of the picture are our coaches.

New guy, 13 years old, first day learning, and first day come for practice, a new band life begins for him today. Interesting? =)

Marching camp

A marching camp was held 4 days ago for 3 days. The purpose of this camp is to get all the juniors to be able to march the entire set of our band's marching fundamental drill. All the juniors have improved through this camp which can be clearly seen by the seniors. Congratz to both of the best members of the camp, Bong Chui Shan and Bong Chui Tieng who are from different group and they are sisters!

Enjoy the photos below.
Bong Chui Tieng, one of the best members.

Juniors please don't forget what you have learnt from this camp, keep on practicing hard and get use to it. Seniors do keep on practicing too and aim for perfection.

One Band, One Sound,
One Heart, One Soul!

Band camp 2010!

Our Annual Band Camp 2010 is finally over! Hope it was a fun and indelible camp for all the participants.

To those who have missed the fun : better luck next year! Ask your parents not to go for vacation during the band camp fever. =)

And to those who experienced the fun : keep all the 'unexpected games' secret, let the new students be out of the blue next year. =D

Below are the group photos of all the groups..
 Group 1 - Zoro
 Group 2 - Nami
 Group 3 - Usoop
Group 4 - Sanji

More photos can be viewed on Jacky Lin's facebook. Will try to get some more photos from Ben Yaw. =)
